Prisoner Not Jobs

I'm having some issues getting my prisoners to work. I open logistics and go to prison Labour and assign workers to different areas but the little circles stay grey and don't seem to fill up. It's with every available area (workshop, cleaning, kitchen, shop, etc)

Do your inmates have the right qualifications?

Yes I have a few trained in workshop and cooking but am also using the warden that allows workshop without training. But from what I understand there aren't requirements for cleaning and laundry. Once an inmate is assigned shouldn't the Grey circle change color? Kind of like how guards do when deployed

Hi Brado, they've probably just run out of mail! Mail gets delivered at 8am and is sorted by a prisoner, then delivered by either a guard or prisoner. For example, my current test prison only has 20 inmates and it doesn't even take one of my inmates the full hour to sort the new mail.

I figured out my problem. I had a lot of programs going on so instead of working they were in the programs. Once they finished their programs they began working at different jobs

@Brado do you just have the one mail room? Are there empty satchels waiting to be filled and unsorted mail waiting to be sorted? Trying to figure out where down the line the problem is occurring.

Do you even have work time in regime?
Prisoners need a sorting desk that is facing the right direction.
The more sorting desks the more mail is sorted.
While in logistics you have to press A to confirm the prison labour setting.
