I've been having this problem where the wrong amount of prisoners arrive, it's normally when i select different security level prisoners so for example i select 4 minimum and 4 medium on prison intake but 6 minimum and only 2 medium arrive , does anybody know why this is happening or how it can be fixed or is it a bug?

This is the first I've heard of this happening! Is it every intake or just occasionally? How many inmates do you have (ballpark)?

It's been happening quite a lot as my prison grows and happened on previous prisons i did, currently i have just over 100 prisoners but it's happened when i've had less and more than 100,
once i selected 1 death row prisoner on intake and about 8 arrived,
like i said if i only select one type of security level for intake it doesn't happen but otherwise it's been happening on my games quite frequently.
Hm, weird. I wondered whether you had hundreds and hundreds, which might explain some strange behaviour. If you're happy to, would you be able to upload a copy of your prison to World Of Wardens and then let me know the name? That way I can download your game, which makes reproducing the issue easier.
In the mean time, I'd recommend saving your prison to a new save slot, just on the off-chance that fixes it.

edit: there's no reason that the cells should affect your intake at all as far as I'm aware!
My prisons do tend to be large, when i've filled a large map there's approximately 200 minimum cells, 100 medium cells, 100 maximum cells, 10 super-max, 10 protective custody and 10 death row cells.
I'm not sure how to upload a copy of my prison to world of wardens but i'll have a go.
Ah right, if it's not a current issue then me downloading the map probably won't help. I'll get someone on the case!

I'm not sure if it's still happening on that prison but it has and is still likely to happen, i have a few saved prisons of similar design and it's happened on all of them so what i'll do is intake prisoners on all my saved prisons until it happens then upload that prison
I found a prison with the intake problem (it sent the wrong number of new prisoners) but when i went to upload it i couldn't because the prison was only on day 4 so i fast forwarded the game to day 10 but then when i tried intaking prisoners it sent the correct prisoners everytime LOL
so i didn't bother uploading the prison.

I had the same problem i would take in 100 medium security 70 minimum security 38 maximum security and it seems like as soon as you add a death row inmate the Prisoner intake on the to- do list changes but on the actual intake menu says the right intake. when you schedule a death row inmate to come in the to - do list it drops 3-4 prisoners of each security and adds them to death row
Thanks for the updates. I'm running tests on both PS4 and XB1 for this, just so you're aware. So far I haven't been able to replicate but after reading these updates I've got more of a focus for spotting the issue. I'll let you know what happens.

Just so you know, I'm still not able to replicate the issue but I'm going to have another attempt in the morning.
@pwner521 could you possible clarify for me a tiny bit- you're seeing the numbers incorrectly in the 'to-do' item list, but is that translating into the wrong number of inmates in the morning? There's two potential issues, one in the actual intake or one in the To Do list organisation.

Start with a prison that has open cells for min, med,max and death row inmates then on the intake screen take in all prisoners in for all security ratings except death row only add one of them. back out and go to the To do list and look at the inmates coming in it subtracts 3 from medium and 2 from min and 2 from max and puts them in to death row (on my prison) so your original intake for example could be 10 min 10 med 10 max sec and 1 death row inmate but on the intake screen you have 9 min 8 med 9 max and 5 death row inmates and that is what shows up to your prison instead of your original intake
Side note- Are your severs down/in maintenance because for the past 3-4 days i cant connect to your severs @D11_Nat
