Same here, I know they didn't want to do a straight port but dorms and escape mode should of been there from the start. Im not saying the devs did a bad job because in my opinion they did an amazing job! The way they are encouraging the community to give feedback and share ideas is great!
Im looking forward to seeing what they will add to they game that's not on pc.
But that being said I would be disappointed if they didn't add in dormitories and escape mode.

@John_08 I think it would be by update, I don't think Double11 will be a money grabber like EA for example. Also I seriously dobt that they will try make us pay for escape mode or dormitories, especially when you consider that those features are on the pc version of the game.
Also take into account the amount of people who play both versions of the game. If Double11 tried to charge console players for features that are on the pc version for free, well let's just say that does not make a very happy community. No Sir!

Without having knowning this game ever existed and playing it for the first time last tuesday for ps4 I would want to see as many updates from the pc side as is possible lol. I love this game, is the dormitory like a holding a cell of sorts?

Yeah sort of, holding cells are used to house inmates before a cell is assigned to them.
A dorm is used to house multiple inmates and works like a regular cell. There are downsides to using them though, inmates in the same dorm will work together digging tunnels so tunnels show up more often. Another thing is that there needs to be a minimum of 4 squares of space per inmate in a dorm. I hope that helped and also hope that Double11 do add dorms and escape mode because those features make the game better. Dorms make it easy to build higher capacity prisons and escape mode helps with finding the weak points in the security of your prison.
