I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm not sure that there's an answer that I can give which will satisfy you. The game was created for console based on customer demand. People wanted a console version from Introversion, and they chose us to deliver it. We worked closely with them to establish what would work best for console, which were the priority game play aspects etc. When we begun work on the console edition, Escape Mode wasn't even on the PC version. Female prisoners didn't exist on PC until Christmas. The whole thing was rebuilt for console, from the menu system and UI to the addition of World Of Wardens. We gave console users the best experience we could, and we're delighted that it seems that most players and reviewers are very happy with the game we gave them.
We knew from the start we could never put in everything from the PC version, it just wasn't feasible with the move to console. There were aspects of the game, including escape mode, which were still in development on PC while we had development milestones to meet. Because we wanted to give players the best experience on console at launch, we had to draw a line somewhere. We appreciate that some people may desperately want escape mode, female prisoners, guard towers and dormitories but we think we've done a pretty good job of retaining the core feeling and game play of Prison Architect while still making it work for console players.
It's not to say the features will never be in the console version. We're very open to community feedback, which greatly shapes the work that we do.
I hope this provides a little more background.
