A few notes about informants:
Sometimes when selecting "recruit informant" it carries out a prisoner search instead. A simple Save-Quit-Load fixes this for a while though.
When summoning informants, they are escorted to the security which is the shortest physical distance away rather than the shortest path. I have some prisoners taken on huge journeys round staff outer fences rather than to the security in the same cell block.
Once informants are summoned and then set back to idle (automatically set back to idle, not manually) the yellow 'has info' speech bubble does not go away.
This last one may just be me not finding it. I can not seem to be able to use the informants information (or phone tap for that matter). There seems to be no tab or markings on the map to indicate any hidden contraband, assassination plans, tunnels or trades.
