After a long, hard term of manual labour, we are delighted to announced today that the best-selling and internationally lauded Prison Architect is now available in major retailers around the world. Physical copies, as well as digital are now on sale. Xbox One customers who purchased the Game Preview version online before launch will automatically receive the full version of the game on July 1st.

Today's release for consoles follows the wildly successful PC launch in 2015, from original creators Introversion Software, which has sold millions of and held one of the highest Metacritic scores for any video game released in 2015. To make sure we do the game justice, we have created Prison Architect for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 from the ground up, specifically with console players in mind, as well as adding in seamless community features and DLC content.

The “All Day and a Night” DLC will be available on launch, and was free to those players who pre-ordered and players who supported the game’s development on Xbox Game Preview.

In Prison Architect, players build and manage their own maximum security prison, designed to hold the most hardened of criminals. The console editions include a fully-fledged story mode that explores the gruesome and often convoluted matters of legal grey areas in the prison system, and an incredibly in-depth sandbox mode, packed with new in-game community features. These new features from developer and publisher Double Eleven allow players to build, maintain and share their maximum security prisons with the touch of a button on either console.

Cope with blazing infernos, prison wide riots, demolition and construction, and if you make it through unscathed the Mayor will be ready to give you the reigns of a brand new prison development where you can build the prison of your dreams.

To purchase Prison Architect for your preferred console, simply follow this link9 to find out where to buy it. Make sure to follow on Twitter1 and Facebook8 for news and updates on this and other great Prison Architect games.

Is there a specific method to locate the free DLC on PS4? Will it come in an email, show an option to DL from within the game, or something else? I did receive an update to v1.01 but the new features are not in game and if I go to the DLC menu it shows All Day and a Night DLC for $9.99.

Good job, any future news from the Double11 Dev squad for future updates? Will it be weekly, monthly, yearly ?

Well... I'm really unimpressed that those of us to backed you in the Xbox One "Preview Program" have to wait even longer to get the full version (and DLC?) when people are apparently able to buy and play it now. I bought this a while back, not expecting special treatment but I would have imagined getting at least a simontanous release with those just purchasing.

xbox one preview players should already have the dlc cause me here on my xbone already has the dlc

Same goes for me, hoping to be able to play it soon. 😭
But great job guys, i love the game and excited i got my inmate into the game.
Can't wait for future updates ^_^

@g0omba Game Preview users have had the DLC content since 24/06/2016.

@GoCanes It depends where you pre-ordered from. There's a guidance post going to pop up shortly so that people know where to go if there are any problems.

@D11_Nat I pre-ordered through Amazon mainly due to the small discount I get from the Amazon Associate program. We always includes links to Amazon for the games we stream and the bounty page indicates 11 orders so I'll make sure to add a link to the guidance post when it is ready. ^_^

Hi @GoCanes with Amazon, you should receive an email. If it doesn't turn up, drop them a message and they should fix it for you

It's funny it's being sold by Amazon as the seller and not Sold out lol I guess they got sold out
