- Violations of the Terms of Use are cause for immediate banning.
Use some common sense: Post things in the right forum/thread, stay
on topic, don't post pointless crap, be considerate to other users,
don't harass/flame other members, don't spam, and generally behave.
Similarly, if you see someone trolling or being a jerk or anything
else mentioned in rule number 2, DO NOT respond in kind; dealing
with people breaking the rules is our job as mods and admins, not
your job, so let us know about it and let us deal with it.
- Use proper spelling and grammar.
Listen to the forum moderators, site admins, and site staff.
Note any rules specific to individual forums and follow them.
Making use of any malicious code or other exploit to take advantage
of the systems on this site or cheat the systems on this site is
grounds for an immediate ban without warning.
Don't make any stupid claim that the First Amendment protects your
right to post here. It doesn't.
The following topics/behaviors are off limits in all parts of this
site, unless created by a mod/admin/staff member:
Threads to say, "hi", or that you love us.
Duplicate/repetitive topics. USE THE SEARCH FEATURE.
Anything to impersonate others intentionally (pictures, etc.), in
guise of comment "experimentation". This does not create a trusting
community
Anything NSFW not posted in an appropriate place or without
appropriate warning.
Piracy, mod chipping, theft or any other illegal activity.
Any kind of race to _____ threads, any kind of chain letters, or
tag.
If it sounds like a bad idea, don't post it.
Enforcement of all rules is at moderator/admin discretion. We've left these rules fairly open ended to give you a fair amount of freedom, but don't think anyone will hesitate to act even if a rule isn't spelled out word for word. Mods and Admins have a variety of punishments available at their disposal. At their discretion, Mods and Admins may:
1. Ban you from a thread or forum.
2. Remove or censor any inappropriate material you put on the site, including in posts and comments.
3. Ban you from the site temporarily or permanently.
Again, these punishments are at the discretion of the mods/admins/staff.
