I'm sorry to disappoint you @Jordi530 but I've had it confirmed that Escape Mode is almost certainly not going to come to console. I don't like to rule things out completely but I think it's best to be over-cautious on this occasion.
We spent a good chunk of time exploring the possibilities with our good friends at Introversion, along with Female Prisoners, and in reality it just wasn't a possibility. We took all of the suggestions away and worked through the list, weighing up things like popularity, feasibility, value to player etc, which is how we came to the Community Update. The update includes one of the most popularly requested features (second only to Escape Mode), Sniper Towers, along with a building pack which contains floors, walls etc that you can't get on any other version.
I'm going to put a version of this message over in the Escape Mode thread too, to try to make people aware. We would have loved to deliver Escape Mode to consoles but in the end it wasn't an option.
