After researching Land Expansion just hover your cursor outside the current plot of land (with the d-pad menu closed) and you'll get the option to expand in that direction.

You can expand once vertically (north or south) and once horizontally (west or east).

liking the game on ps4...one issue although mentioned before is moat of the text is unreadable when playing as most console players away from the tv..a lot to pc ports have suffered from this..could it be patched to be bigger ?..and are there any plans for the escape mode to come to console..looks fun..thanks guys

No plans to add escape mode, as previously discussed. Text is unfortunately a bit trickier than just patching in with a font increase- it would require essentially rebuilding the UI to accommodate it which is an extremely dramatic undertaking for a something which hasn't been nearly as frequently requested as a lot of other features. It's not a perfect solution but something I've found handy for other games is the accessibility zoom for PS4 if you're not familiar with that already.

First of all..... Love this game

played it for days on pc, so much that i hurt my wrist doing it.
when i saw it is available on ps4 i bought it right away so i could enjoy playing with a controller on a better screen. Thank you for such an enjoyable game.

Yesterday i received the 1.05 update with loads of new content. One of the new items saw is the comfy bed. I replaced all my old beds with those so my inmates can enjoy a good nights rest. But oh no, they started rioting after a few days. So i checked needs and then i saw the clothing needs all red. Turns out the laundry crew collects the dirty uniforms, wash them clean, iron them, stack them in the laundry cart but DO NOT distribute them to the cells to and onto the new beds. After that i replaced the comfy beds with the regular ones and voila, got it working again like it should. Please fix this bug for us because the beds are pretty useless this way.

There are 2 more minor things which i'd like to see changed on the console version.
One is the auto lights placement. how do i disable it. I cannot can i?
Second is the guard patrol timetable. Why isn't it available on ps4. Now i assigned guard patrols to areas which are only visited by my inmates a few hours a day, the remaining hours are just wasted for those guards. I have to hire so many of them this way. Could i set their timetable i could fire at least a third of them, cutting cost and maxing effeciency.

Hi Mazltov,

Thanks for posting! Your bug spot has been passed on to our development team to have a look at, appreciate the report.

Other issues- auto light placement is automatic and was a design choice so no workaround for that I'm afraid. I'll pass the comments about the guard patrol on as well but I'll be honest in that I can't see that being added in at this point- it's a pretty bug job and on the list of requests it's quite low down popularity-wise.

Since the game has released i would like to know if you could please put in escape mode for consoles since i've read many websites that you would start looking into it after the game would release and well since it has release i would like it a lot if you could start looking into it now since i don't want to just build my prison but i want to see if its inescapable by playing escape mode and escape my own prisons please start soon and i'm sure that i am not the only person who would like this feature, there are for sure many thousands of console players that are waiting for this feature. Please consider this

If you do add this feature i'm sure that you guys would even be a bigger hit cause right now when i look at the most bought, best rated and most played in the xbox store and its usually at the bottom and i'm sure if you put this feature, its place in rating and every thing would definitely increase and you also said that you would consider this if a lot of players asked for this feature and i looked through this entire list of requests on this site and almost half of them are asking for escape mode so waiting for this feature to come to consoles please consider this

Also you said at the very top of this website and before you enter this website it's says that your proud of making changes to consoles so is that true or false if true your should put in escape mode on consoles
Also I do understand there is a risk that would be involved and that it would probably take time but I'm sure that it would be worth it and your fans will be happy and you will gain more fans if you do this feature also if not so I would please like to ask you to change what you wrote at the very top of this website of being proud of making changes to console and rewrite that cause that would be false since so many player have asked for this and yet your not so proud of making this change to consoles

Hi master warden. Let me give you a bit of background! A sizeable percentage of people who have commented online (note, not the same as percentage of total owners) voiced their desire for Escape Mode. After this was requested we had a long consultation period where we weighed up the pros and cons of additional content, not just Escape Mode. At the end of this process, without sharing the precise reasons and justifications, it was decided that Escape Mode wasn't viable. We still wanted to give players something new, which is where the community update came from.

I know that on the surface it seems like it would be a no-brainer but things often aren't as simple as you want them to be. We would have loved to deliver Escape Mode.

Not sure what this quote is or where it's from- let me know and I'll tell you what it actually means

seriously i thought one of the posts on Nat said that if there was a high enough demand that you guys would consider it so how much more demand do you need theres hundred and thousands of players asking for this on all sorts of websites asking for this feature so how much more do you need?

Hey Master, good to see you back on here!

There aren't hundreds of thousands of players asking for Escape Mode! I think you're using a little hyperbole there Also, consideration isn't the same as automatically green-lighting something. We wouldn't have had the conversation at all if it wasn't for the feedback received. As I said before, the consideration took the form of a long consultation process where we looked at lots of different factors and reviewed our initial decision to not include it. Having seen first hand how thorough this process was I'm more than confident in saying that we made the right call with the best intentions. If the team say it can't or shouldn't be done then I trust them!

I recently bought prison architect for the Xbox one, with the anticipation that the game would be the same as the pc version. Well after a good,30 minutes of screwing around I realized that some things are missing. I couldn't find things like the escape mode, tempature, hawt water, etc... Wondering if I'm just crazy or are these things actually gone I looked,it up on the ol'interwebs and got here. I read through this forum and was saddened to see that despite the high demand for escape mode, it's not happening, even though they said that they would add, it if the demand is high. I feel slightly cheated by this and the fact it's not on par with the P.C. in terms of features and objects and what-nots. I read how the devolpment team didn't had no interest in giving us console gamers what the P.C. has to offer, but come on guys, that's just down right low....

Okay, I'll admit I was a bit harsh in my last post, but I had another question. I've noticed that since the games official release (june 16th) there has only ever been one update, and an odd one at that. Now I enjoyed the sniper/sniper towers, but I doubt I'll ever get into all the cool walls and floors you guys added. Neverless I thank you for the update. But it's almost been a year since it's release and only one update has ever been released to my knowledge. Is there going to be more? Of so when? Will we ever be on par with the P.C.?
