Achievements - Standard Difficulty?

Hey

Most of the achievements say "Do this is Prison Architect mode on a standard difficulty". But what defines as standard? The 3 options are County, Federal and Super Max and if you change any other settings it changes the difficulty to Custom.

So which is it?

I don't really fancy starting a prison only to find none of the achievements will unlock because I'm on the wrong difficulty.

Don't take my word for it, but I believe it's Federal for Standard. I believe Super Max is Hard and County is Easy. But not to positive.

Thanks for the reply, I came to the same conclusion as well. I'm wondering if changing any of the settings, for example FOW or Lakes, etc.. would make a difference.

Hopefully a developer with knowledge can reply and let us know.

I got all of the "Standard Difficulty" achievements on county difficulty without changing any other setting, except selecting the warden. It seems the difficulties are either standard or custom. GamerTag is Its Two Percent.

Hi everyone,

A "standard" difficulty is any difficulty setting other than "Custom", so "County", "Federal" and "Supermax".

Well sadly it doesn't seem to agree with you. I have started a game on "county" with the original settings and despite unlocking everything in the bureaucracy tree, the related achievement didn't unlock. Neither did it for getting 100+ prisoners with under 10 critical needs..so glitch maybe?

Trophies/Achievements have been unlocking fine for me when starting prisons on 'County' settings.

Well it nevermind me for the bureaucracy one, being tired I forgot I had it already. But pretty sure I had only 5 prisoners with one critical need out of 140+, so could a dev kindly explain what they mean by "100+ prisoners with <10% critical need" ? Thanks!

When you go to needs, all of them have to say 0 critical..

I did the same thing lol. Just wait until you get to the Polaroid/snapshot achievement. I have one left (bangup) and I can't get it to spawn if my life depended on it

The bangup one randomly showed up for me in one of the solitary rooms.

I'm stuck trying to get the solitary one, gun show, recreation one and the janitor one I think it is. Tried everything I can think off but they never show up.

For solitary you need a 2x2 cell with nothing but a bed in it, and an inmate in it (it's pretty much the picture on the snapshot).

For janitor I'm not sure if there are specific requirements, I do remember I got that one in Warden mode on one of the pre-built maps.

Ah, also, I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not but I was in Architect mode.

Tip for gun show: put a weight bench in your canteen!

For some reason, on all of my games the prisoners would NEVER use the benches in the yard... I put one in the canteen and as soon as the next "eat" hour came around somebody jumped immediately on the bench and it popped!

Tried 2x2 solitary cells with only a bed but nothing so far.

Edit: Scrap, that. I quit the game, reloaded and it showed up straight away. Now for this janitor one, gun show and recreation.

Edit 2: I got 'Gun Show' to appear by placing weight benches in the canteen.
